Written Evaluation Part 2

How did you attract/address your audience?

We attracted our audience by selecting the certain influential films to blend in with our feature film. We addressed our audience by stating the plot of our film before hand. We also, as a group made a video pitch of our main video, this therefore addressed the following demonstrate the features that will features of our film and our influential films. As 'Influential Films' are concerned, they therefore sate the common features in our film.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this project?

We have learnt during the process of the filming. As we have learnt that planning is a necessity and also allows us to understand the technical planning. When it came to the technical provisions, had a slight problem as we did not have the right camera equipment. So we then had to use a phone camera , but had a capacity of an HD quality. One  downfall to the camera work is that some videos were deleted due to unknown sources, but we eventually re-filmed and came up with better shots.  In a nut shell we used the software editor to a very good level, as it helped to correct some shots in many places. The software that we used was the MAC Movie, which was very good indeed. In some circumstances I personally wanted told do further editing with the film with some after effects. In terms of music we had trouble to record it as sometimes the timing would either be off or the recording  of the guitar would be off beat. But in the end we had a final composed piece for our film, and very much fitted with the overall film and gave us good feedback in terms of music.
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the main task?

When looking back at preliminary film, it seems to be humorous in terms of how it was done and filmed as hardly no planning was involved therefore having a major an impact on how it was filmed. The editing of the film felt like it was alien to us which also had a profound effect upon our video. Another issue that crossed my mind when watching the preliminary video is that the plot was very badly written. In comparison to our main video it looked miles better than our first video that we did. In terms of camera work , editing, music, acting and location. This film was not humorous but taken seriously among the audience.

Remember to explain what your individual roles were within the group?

James Rose's role within this project was the camera man and the co-director. What James basically had to do was sort out the camera shots and organize the call outs of the actors, therefore sharing a call sheet for people who are next. Lee Arnold's role was the main actor, the 'antagonist' (the hero) . What he had to do was just act his role.Kieran Tyler's role was the 'Protagonist' of the film (the bad guy). What his role was to play the 'johnny stevenson' and fight 'jimmy sharmen' (Lee Arnold).Rudi Sampat's role was the Director and music producer. What Rudi had to do was take into consideration of the actors where abouts on the set and how it was filmed. When it came down to music, Rudi had to organize what music that was to be used in our film and compose it and record it.
