This punch is the symbolic punch that is "million dollar punch" and then will end the feature film.

Filming and behind the scenes

During the making of our 1st draft for 'Million Dollar Punch' I took a few photos of us to show how we made the film, these are the pictures:

These pictures show some of the footage that Rudi shot when we were experimenting with camera angles and scenes. As you can see in the photos we are filming with a mobile phone camera, this is because we found it a much easier way to get the footage onto a computer. It took us around 3hours of discussing and filming until we had all the shots that we wanted, one problem we had is that the phone did not save one of the scenes so we had to re-film.

The Video above is from my camera phone, the camera on my phone has a torch so this is what we used to get our lighting affects. This is the same scene but from my phones point of view, Rudi was filming the actual scene at this point. It is the scene when Jimmy Sharman (Lee Arnold) is preparing himself for the fight.

The image above is of a light on the cieling in Rudis garage, we used this as our source of lighting during the actual fighting scenes. It gave good affect to the scenes.

Improvements for our video "Million Dollar Punch"

- Intro of movie text re-write
- Change transitions to consistent style
- Have a montage of video shots to establish genre
- Cut the ending and have no Led Zepilliin
- Get more shots of realistic punching
- Take away all music except the Metallica song, and play until film ends
- keep whole movie black and white
- Production company should be at the start of the movie
- Slow the prologue text down
- Different colour font for production company

Million Dollar Punch 1st Draft

Here is our 1st draft entry for our main task, we hope to improve this by the 14th of December.

Background information on main video progress

On Saturday 3rd December we completed the filming for 'Million Dollar Punch'
we did much better than we first expected, we came up with many ideas during filming such as the idea for having Lee spit out ketchup when being punched in the mouth. Lee and Kieran kept their roles as the fighters, me and Rudi helped to choreograph the fight and we did many takes until we were satisfied with the shots we had. One of the problems we faced when filming is that we lauged many times, so we had to keep re-taking the shots. Also it was very cold in the garage and lee and Kieran did not have T-shirts on.

In the begining of the film we showed Lee getting ready for the fight in the dark to show how poor and nervous he is, Rudi filmed this while I shined my phones torch at Lee for the effect that we wanted. When we showed Kieran preparing for the fight we showed him in a house and training on a treadmil to show that he is rich and not nervous about this fight.

We discussed each scene before we filmed to find whats best to do and any ideas we have to improve on, Me and Rudi directed the film and helped Lee and Kieran to perform their best, I helped with most of the props and extras such as creating the sweat and doing the lighting, Rudi did the Majority of the filming and creating the music, Lee did the acting and some directing, Danny helped with editing after the film had been created.
We are going to edit our film again to add improvements and add extra shots, we plan to take away the ending and just show the first two minutes of what would be our full length film.
